Good Vibes

We are going to GB tomorrow to meet with the radiologist! I'll keep you updated, of course. Also tomorrow Karly will have bloodwork, which will determine if she's ready for her sixth and final round (FINAL!!) of chemo - she's due in MKE to clinic on Friday, but her counts need to be good. On Monday, her counts were okay, but not good. So, wait & see.

ANYWAY ... I've had some good luck lately! I won a book I really, really wanted to read! I won a copy of Jennifer Graf Groneberg's newly released book, Roadmap to Holland. I won it from Michelle, Kayla's Mom, on Big Blueberry Eyes.

I can't wait to read it - it's about Jennifer's first two years with her son, Avery, who has Down syndrome.

Michelle at Big Blueberry Eyes is also having a Discovery Toys fundraiser, for a little boy named Parker. If you'd like to order something, the toys are great, and proceeds would help Parker's medical costs. We've been SO lucky that our insurance is wonderful - Parker's family isn't as fortunate.

Remember the mascara sale for Chelsea? So her dad could take time off of work? Her mom sold 143 mascaras - enough for Chelsea's dad to take 7 days off of work & be with them at the hospital! That's amazing! Her mom had a thank you contest yesterday - and I won!


Seriously? It's about time my luck changed, right?! Hope this is a sign of even better things to come ...
